Let This Be The Year

This is just something I have been reading on the Proclaimer. Just thought I would share it encase anyone was interested. I have a friend that sends me the monthly letter from the Proclaimer. This is just a thing for the New Year to think about. Love you all.

1.) We maintain a schedule of sincere, diligent Bible study as individuals and families (1 Peter 2:15; 2 Peter 3:18; Hebrews 5:12).

2.) We develop a genuine, daily, personal prayer life before God. Nothing is needed more; nothing is more uplifting (Matthew 7:7-11; 1 Peter 3:10-12; James 5:16).

3.) We honestly try to correct our faults - whether it be impatience or gossip, tardiness or stinginess - let us make a diligent effort to be more spiritual and less carnal or petty (Jude 21; 2 John 8; 1 John 1:7-9).

4.) We compliment instead of criticize; encourage instead of belittle - and especially within the church of the Lord - let us do our best to lighten the load of the elders, Bible teachers and others who, at least, are making a consecrated effort to be a Christian (Hebrew 12:12; Romans 12:10; Psalm 119:63)!

5.) We strive to be cheerful and grateful in view of our many blessings and the heartaches of others (Hebrews 13:15; Philippians 4:6, 1Thessalonians 5:16-18).

6.) We fervently try to lead some soul to Christ. So, many are lost in sin. Heaven will be too sweet to miss. It is our task and privilege to work with the Lord in the salvation of lost humanity (1 Timothy 4:16; Proverbs 11:30; John 14:12).

7.) We cease to live beneath our benefits, blessings and responsibilities. In other words, let this be the year to take the parable of the talents seriously (Matthew 25; Hebrew 6:1; Romans 14:12)!

8.) We become truly and deeply concerned with erring brethren. Let us care so much that they have gone astray that we go out and reclaim them for the Lord (James 5:19-20; Hebrews 13:1; Acts 8:22).

9.) We once and for all stand up for Truth and never apologize for its penetrating power. May we allow it to correct our faults (Hebrews 4:12; Ephesians 6:17; Galatians 4:16).

10.) We purge worldliness from our lives and hearts and affections. May God help us to be "purer and yet purer" (1 Peter 1:16; 2 Timothy 2:19; Matthew 5:8).

Doing Laundry

Here is Nathaniel's way of helping with the clothes. He loves to help with anything I am doing. Caught this, so I thought I would share it.

Nathaniel is standing

I have not been on in a while to update everyone. We are all doing great. The kids are out of school until Jan 6th. Michael headed to New Orleans, LA the day after Christmas. I got some pictures of Doodle (Nathaniel) standing tonight, and I wanted to share them. (He stands with out pushing up on anything.) He took a few steps today, but he was kind of falling at the same time. Won't be long and he will be walking. He loves the camera now, so he makes faces at the flash. The other one is him crawling on Vance. He crawls on anything he can including in my kitchen cabinets.

Merry Christmas

Here is a picture of Nathaniel getting caught trying to climb the stairs, and Nathaniel with Domonick in front of the Christmas tree.

This is off of a book mark the kids bus driver gave them.

Legend of the Candy Cane
In Indiana, a candy maker wanted to make a candy that could be a reminder of Jesus Christ, so he made the Christmas candy cane. He started off with a stick of pure white hard candy. The white color symbolized the virgin birth and the sinless nature of Jesus, and the hard candy symbolized the solid rock which was the foundation of the church, and firmness of the promises of God. The candy maker made the candy is the form of a J, which represented the name of Jesus and the staff of the Good Shepherds. He then stained it with three stripes which showed the scourging Jesus received, and symbolized the blood shed by Christ on the cross. When you break the cane, it reminds us that Jesus' body was broken for us.

Merry Christmas from the Womack Bunch!

Christmas decorations up

We finally got all the Christmas decorations up last night. It has taken me a while with this never ending headache. (Brittany, Corey and Domonick helped with the tree; Brittany did the banister; Brittany and Corey helped with the swags and garland. Vance and Michael played the Wii.) Here are some pictures of the house. There are swags over everything. There are more, but it is a lot to put on here.

Texas Trip

It was a blessing going to Texas and getting to visit with everyone. When we got home it was snowing.
The kids are getting excited about the snow. It is suppose to snow all tonight and all day tomorrow. The kids are ready to have enough to throw around.
Everyone is doing very well. We got the Christmas tree up and the kids are ready for break. They do not get out until December 23rd. Love you all!
